Sandy Brown looks to have a few terse word with the referee in the battle of Goodison - he had just punched Leeds Johnny Giles lights out after receiving a studded tackle down his chest very early on in the battle of Goodison - - he is being sent off Labby watches on - the famous battle of Goodison commenced & went down into history both teams removed of the pitch the game almost abandoned -

Same game a horrific tackle by Willie Bell Leeds fullback on Derek Temple sent him into the Goodison road crowd - Temple carried off - it all kicked off - the game became unplayable - the teams forced to leave the field -
