Old Everton Pictures

a)I thought Corrigan was another dodgy keeper, a less dangerous version of Sprake.

b) Great pictures, Joey, many thanks.

c) The first picture looks like Varadi but not sure about the penalty-taker. Could well be Ross as another poster says.
Very little information on those pictures as they were the same game probably was there that day that's old age for you the mediocre years where the eventually under Lee should have won a trophy mick Ferguson had small feet never got going for us should be in the worst strikers thread!

City in 6th round f a cup....
2-2 draw..March 1981
Trevor Ross penalty
Lost the replay 4 days later..3-1.
M.Ferguson didn't play for us until the following season came on as sub. against Southampton..5th Sept.1981.

...definitely Trevor Ross taking the pen. Another bit of trivia, I reckon the ref is Willis who was the same bloke who sent Moran off in the FA Cup Final. He actually refereed a game I played up in the North East so I remember him.
I seem to remember Trevor Ross having a hell of a shot on him. Whatever happened to that type of penalty taker? Most teams have a player in the team who can blast it, but they let the strikers take the pens and they miss half of them!!

Remember Phil Neal used to take them for the RS, rarely missed, and who was the West Ham guy, Ray something, played full back and scored about 30 pens in a row.
