This may have been the game were Bally upset Kendall & Newton as Captain ....... 2-1 up and Newton was at fault for their winner we got beat 3-2 bally was MOTM - HK tussled with Bally over a free kick on who should take it etc Ballys captaincy was showing signs of his hatred of losing a game & it was affecting the team -

I have read two autobiographies of this player -here is another one.
It's a sad story of a player who left us because he divorced a local girl stating he should not have divorced Everton FC as financially he went on the road of rack and ruin ending up in jail, short term - probably a very good read he was a lethal Blues no 9 goalscorer with either foot - Was he as good as Dixie - My late Grandfather seen them both agreeing with Joe mercer NO he was not -
