Two of the players in that game from Quarry Bank, Joe Royle and Graeme Smith (Colchester and WBA keeper). I played against both in "House" games and scored a hat trick past Smith.

This game below - Carlisle away in the FA CUP My brother & his mate who had a beard both were about 19/20 years old - went without tickets - tried all the touts for tickets anywhere - no luck - up to about 2 - 50pm - this shady tout just shouted Ground tickets - they both ran over to him as thousands of blues were ticketless in fact some started to climb trees to get a slight glimpse of the pitch ...

They thought they got a good deal - until on the gate number a big sign Boys Pen only .... they crouched down as low as the could & entered 5 minutes before kick off - The gateman looked at them with their scarves on etc & past comment on ho Everton fans were older than they looked lol - before they could explain he just stated get in as the entrance was for any side of the ground anyhow & touts had a field day - so in they went to see the Blues win 2 - 0 on a mud heap of a pitch -
