I remember Mancini when I was a kid,although he was probably in his late 20's in my minds eye he was like an old manlol

There were a few who looked old but were younger...and some who really were old...Dave Mackay..George Eastham..Alan Gilzean, Terry Paine...more like extras from Cocoon though good players like !

What was the timescale of the old/new main stand replacement? Not being old enough to remember that era, I have seen tons of pictures from 69/70 season where the far north of the new stand is taking shape. When was it all completed?

I had Shoot reserved every week for my lad. For a split second I thought it was the real deal when is saw the front page.
Don't forget these were the days before mass media coverage, mobile phones and the Internet so for a few seconds it seemed plausible.
