The GV Alex Young takes on West Ham centre half Ken Brown during the FA Cup 5th round tie at Upton Park March 1963 - we got beat in a very controversial game - the GV blamed 1966 cup final referee jack Taylor as, yet again he denied a penalty on him after being chopped down in the penalty area by England's Bobby Moore plus gave us nothing in a 1-0 defeat for us - The Everton strong following hurled glass beer bottles on to the pitch & fighting broke out -
The GV later was adamant we would have won the double that year & in 1966 he was not surprised that Jack Taylor denied him another nailed on penalty in the cup final .....
