Hoe these two may have gelled if Kay had not been banned - Labby stated bally would have loved having Tony Kay in his team for us - but no Holy Trinity Maybe?

Tony would've been 29 when Ball arrived.
Given the way Harry, sometimes wrongly, moved players on if he thought they might be near 30 and getting past it, especially if they had a mind of their own, who knows how long Kay would've pasted.
IMO, obvs, if Harry would've got rid of Kay on age alone, it would've been worse than getting rid of Collins

Gabriel at 26, for instance, fell out with Catterick in the manner of Digne and Benitez.
Kendall was brought in and Jimmy was moved on. No keeping as a squad player/back up those days - sadly.

If things had gone differently, we could have had a pre-holy trinity, mid field 4 of Kay, Bremner, (the leeds board agreed £15,000, revie said if he goes - I go, so it didn't happen) Collins and Gabriel...who would've dropped into the newly evolving back 4, like Harris did

degsys fantasy Island squad; circa 1965
West
Wright, Gabriel, Labone, Wilson.
Kay, Collins, Brenner.
Scott, Pickering Temple.
Subs; Rankin, Brown, Heslop, Harvey, Harris, Young Temple, Morrissey.
