I was a big tall lad with my Dr Martins on, I had to use them they were trying to rob you - awful view not worth the 12 & 1/2 p entrance fee - no way did BK go in there .... lol

I missed that game but went to the game against Panathinaikos. They say Everton & Gladbach were favourites. How we didn't spank Panathinaikos at Goodison still rankles. We equalised with a Davey Johnston last kick off the game goal.
Wasn't it the first ever pen shootout in european competition? I recall an old post whereas even the fans didn't know what was happening and confusion set in
Yes - after my hero Joe missed the 1st pen then they scored with their first pen - there's many people thought we were knocked out headed for the exit before they got called back - not realising all five had to be taken within reason .....
I always remember Sandy Browns pen - it went in like a rocket hit the net and bounced back out - Andy Rankin save was great to win it, but he moved well before the taker took the pen straight run up in those days ...

My old man put me in there when he thought I was old "enough" to cope!! Once was enough, it was like a Borstal in there, some proper headcases! Scared the bejesus out of me, so it was back to the Enclosure or Main Stand for me an him, although the Top Balcony scared me just as much when we scored as my Dad used to lift me in the air, I always felt like I was falling out of the stand! *reminder to self to take my lad in there next time LOL!
