Definitely Coventry.

That's Tangerine hall of famer Tommy Hutchison in the distance right. Great skillful player. And David Cross on the left who ended his career at Blackpool late 80s. Only there a few months don't remember him playing a game.
Green and black stripes quite unique. I'd take a punt and say they were the only team in my lifetime to wear them.
At that level anyway.
I should say that my works footie team 1st eleven wore them and I aspired to play in that kit. Because I wasn't quite able to handle the physicality of works football as a seventeen year old apprentice I was in the reserve team that had a gold and back stripes strip. But I made the first team at 18 so achieved my ambition.

Not Everton Joey and all you other history lovers, but just watching a fascinating kids film on Talking Pictures called Cup Fever. Dating from 1965 it is a simple heartwarming tale of a kids team that get helped out by the Manchester United players ahead of a cup final

Features cameos from Matt Busby, Best, Law and even the legendary Bert Trautmann who played on with a broken neck for City in the 1957 Cup Final. Trautmann presents the winning team with the cup in the film

Brought a few tears to my eyes, old sentimental chap that I am.

Can you imagine playing on with a broken neck? Always fascinated me reading about it as a kid.

Today most would be off with a broken finger nail.

Worth finding this gem if, as I suspect, most of you are nostalgic old gits like me!

Some goal that if its the one I'm thinking of,Sheeds who was playing CM due to Paul Powers outstanding form, scooped a delicious ball from just inside Norwichs half which Inchy latched onto on the volley, a fantastic effort!!
I'd say it was that goal, one of the best I've personally seen at Goodison! Some of our football was outstanding in the run up to and including the Christmas period that year. Great picture of the half time scoreboard in the background,I wonder who it was that was getting stuffed 3-0 at home (letter C)?
