We were very lucky to get Bally but so was every body else ,he was nearly going to Leeds United.They would have dominated the league for years with Ball ,Bremner ,and Giles as a midfield.

He got fined in an early autobiography for admitting accepting envelopes of cash of Don Revie - Leeds thought it was a done deal lol
the Catt heard what they offered & upped it to 110 grand - plus better terms - Leeds never stood a chance ..... -

He was the most remarkable midfielder ever to pull on a blue shirt for us ... so why sell him?
