Corporate hospitality has certainly improved since those days. Looks like a pigeon shed. It has a bird's eye view it must be noted lol

That maybe so, but he did score the second best goal I've ever seen by an Everton player, against Sheff Wed in 1968 I think - a cross shot from the left corner of the penalty area into the far netting. [Best goal for me, Jimmy Husband against Chelsea round about the same year].

According to evertonresults.com Gordon Lee used the same starting eleven in all three matches. Your namesake must have picked up a knock as he was subbed off after 14 minutes in the last match. He was back the following Saturday though. Different times.

I was at all 3. The game at Newcastle was bad. I recall the headline in the Daily Mirror the following day; BAD FRIDAY
