Astle, already in my bad books for Wembley 1968 cemented himself further into my hate list by missing a sitter against Brazil in 1970. He got a bit of a reprieve by scoring a debatable goal against Leeds at Elland Road which let us open a gap on our way to the title that year.

No reprieve for Jeff really Tommy as that game was the following 70-71 season so didn't assist us at all!!

I was going to post this story when someone said Latchford was his hero .When i was at a match i was in the Gladwys end , this fella was giving bob stick all gam .His son was sitting on the bar by me and shouting the same.We were getting beat 1 nil with 20 min to ,final whistle gose EVERTON 3 THE OTHER TEAM 1 .Bob scored a hatrick in 15 min ,that is what the great in the box striker he was .I
