I presume "George Green 54" indicates the year? In which case,the fans certainly did their bit,63000 turning up to roar the team towards promotion. In fact some of our attendance's from that season are quite incredible really for a team that had spent 3 years in the second tier. People can mock us for our lack of success(fair enough,it's a terrible record)but when you look at stuff like this on the link I've posted for that season,we are truly,historically, one of this countries mammoth football clubs.

Theses music hall songs do me in. Goodbye-ee is a funny one, that brings tears to your eyes. The 1st World
War had some real tear jerkers, the biggest being After the ball, the words were very poignant.
