I walked a few miles to see this match a month or so after Dixie died in 1980 . I think there was a bus strike or something that Sunday. The Golden Vision, then aged 43, was due to be playing and my dad had told me all about him. Sadly Alex was not fit and didn't appear so I never got to see him. I remember absolutely nothing about the game.
