i remember more specifically the game at Goodison, they played some really nice stuff. I was most impressed with Chris Balderstone who was one of a number of players who played cricket in the summer. Balderstone ended up an international cricket umpire.

Do you know what Joey,he is probably the only one as a boss over there who I have respect for, always appeared a decent, genuine and honest fella, the only manager I have ever recalled who was magnanimous in a defeat, really felt it for him that his last game was at Heysel too.
I put that in with him being a red ...that's all - he was sacked unfairly too if I remember rightly

Not really, My dand & older brother bought my stuff outside the ground of trade sellers with stands of merchandise which nowadays would be outlawed as it was probably unofficial stuff particularly in the mid 1960's the club never seemed to mind? hot dog stands all over the place too with massive cues.....
