What a cricketer he was, great batsman and cover fielder! Used to love going over to Old Trafford cricket ground to watch him and the Lancashire teams particularly in the early one day games!

Loved him. Always remember a ton he made at Aigburth in the mid-70s against Hampshire's Andy Roberts in his pomp. Brilliant batsman, and until his knees went, one of the greatest fieldsman to play the game.
