Great days for the fansIt was an amazing atmosphere after Sheedy hit that last minute equaliser and then Degsey scored a trademark header in extra time. We were lucky to win it which in a way made it even sweeter to win it so late

I’m normally the biggest pessimist around but that day I just knew we would equalise. I guess it was down to how good a side we were in those days. Anything was possible and we had a never say die attitude with the type of players we had in the side.My older brother was at that game he stated we were so poor well below par , and in the last 5 minutes many blues fans were heading for the exits - then some one shouted Sheedy free kick , and loads piled back in - the rest is history.......
Not really no vivid stories lolI’m normally the biggest pessimist around but that day I just knew we would equalise. I guess it was down to how good a side we were in those days. Anything was possible and we had a never say die attitude with the type of players we had in the side.
When Sheedy took that free kick my soon to be wife couldn’t watch. She just looked at me and celebrated when she saw my face light up.
And then she spent her honeymoon with Wayne Clarke a few weeks later. Have I ever told you about that...?
Oh so I must tell you one of these days....Not really no vivid stories lol
