...quite a few on there I played with or against back in the day, Jeff Ainsworth, Colin Irwin, Sammy Lee, Trevor Birch; Dave Fairclough, Max Thompson, David Esser on the next programme. Remember those lads very well, they’ll all be around their 60s now.

Being a bit younger than you I faced Jimmy Case when he played for South Liverpool under 18 youth team they beat us 10-3 outclassed - he played just behind the CF .....I kicked him a lot

Being a bit younger than you I faced Jimmy Case when he played for South Liverpool under 18 youth team they beat us 10-3 outclassed - he played just behind the CF .....I kicked him a lot

...I played with Jimmy a fair bit, he’s actually a couple of years older than me (he’s 65). He’s the best striker of a football i’ve ever seen in the game. You did well kicking him and getting away with it, he was a tough lad.
