Watched most of the home games that season. I remember we beat Grimsby Town 4 - 1. The Grimsby goalie (Tweedy) played in a red jumper. The Grimsby goal was scored by Blenkinsop who hit it from 35 yards with such power that Ted Sagar never moved. Can close my eyes and see that goal as if it happened yesterday.
