I had one called Blair's death or something years a go. Could never use it. However one day my dad thought he'd put it in a chilli he was making for dinner..
in 15 years i've used less than a thimble full of this 'stuff'. well out of my league, the people able to easily consume this and hotter are either well practiced of have guts and a ring piece made of cast iron.
The chilli went in the bin. It was inedible!

Sort of related but I also bought some of this to try as I'm a chips and salsa junkie, having grown up Mexico-adjacent. Sucks since I have to watch my sodium intake now;, used to literally drink the stuff. Haven't had it yet but I'm waiting to pick up some tortilla chips my aunt got me hooked on. I've had some other 505 stuff and it's good, but not burn your starfish hot.

This was one of the first I ever brought. The plastic spider did it for me. Bloody hot!
@tommye listed that one too...,might be more UK-centric? That's the problem with these, they can be pretty localized at times.
Yeah just saw that. Sadly the store closed down about five years ago. Bar the odd hot sauce you find in farmers markets, I’d say America is best for the mad stuff that just hurts.
Our climate's friendly to pepper production, especially here in the SouthWest and over in the deep South, so the varieties available can be overwhelming.
That stuff is amazing.
Pete passed away several years ago, I think his partner, Miranda, runs the business now, and is based in Sheffield.
They do a product called Satan's Sh!t, which is the hottest thing to have ever passed my lips. There were tears.
