Distin is on a long contract!! As to selecting and subbing Moyes does tend to stick with players who are fave with him rather than recognising the obvious when not performing.

Yes, the motivation (you really have to look for it^^) is chasing a place in Europe. Perhaps 7th will be enough.

Really disappointed today. I really thought we'd beat Birmingham today and have a really good cup run again. Obviously it was not to be.

Saha went straight down the tunnel so he must have had a bit of an injury problem, hence the substitution.

Personally thought we were unlucky to lose the game over the 90 mins. I know we were [Poor language removed] 1st half, but we had enough chances 2nd half to get a draw and live to fight another day. Saha,s 2 efforts, one that hit the post and the other hart was rooted to the spot and it goes inches wide and fella,s 2 efforts on another day at least one goes in.

We are just gonna have to take our medicine on this one and move on as much as it hurts now. Im pissed off but im trying to look at the positives like mikky,s return and with less games now hopefully our accent up the league will continue with more rest. I don't think we deserved to win it if you look at the entire game. I do however feel that if we were just a goal down in the 2nd half then it would have been much different. Considering 2nd half alone,yes we deserved to win it but the poor defending and overall play in our 1st half cost us the match.
