Oh Hibbo!

Longest serving player to never have scored a first team goal?

How the ***k we keep playing this guy.

Good defender, total GASH with the ball at his feet.

I don't think he's connected with any player from a cross this year?

STATS!

STAT!

Apart from the inch perfect one that Vellios buried against Wigan.

So, for all those who claim Hibbo is our most soild defender.

4.50 on this video : http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/everton-1-norwich-1-motd/

About 60 mins in, Norwich have the ball over on their left and they float a ball over to the right where Holt ghosts in and just puts his header wide, which if scored would of put us 2 down.

You can't see perfectly from those highlights but Hibbo was asleep/ballwatching and never reacted to Holts run before it was too late instead of being alert and tracking his man earlier.

Yes he is a good tackler, and yes he has improved to an average standard when going forward.

But as i pointed out last week and just got met with a laugh rather than a decent reply, Hibbo is poor defensively in positions like the above whenj it comes to being alert and in the correct position.

Holt also took the p##s out of 2 international defenders!
Hibbert made some excellent interceptions in the game. He also won us the game against Wigan with his last ditch tackles.

Did you not read the bit where i said he is a good tackler? And yes he throws himself infront of everything.

He's very good at some parts of the game, but damn awful at others as highlighted above.

So he's not the best defender at the club nor is he completly awful, unfortunatly people seem to claim one or the other with Hibbert.

Not really. Nobody's claiming he's Gary Stevens. I do love him, though.

People are though, you get someone saying ~Hibbo is awful and then in defence of that you get some saying he's a great defender and one of the best at the club.

Both are going too far in opposite directions really.

very underrated and his crossing is much better than colemans. i like him and always gives 100%. gets a lot of unfair criticism. made some really crucial blocks this season and a good number of them

If he was olive skinned and called Antonio Hibbeiro we'd be marvelling at his subtle crosses and wondering why our strikers were on Medium Wave when they should have been on FM ( or DAB if you want to be modern ).

Wavelengths ffs ... keep up

Right so he's managed to get ONE cross in that beat the first man, and it still didnt beat the first man it was just that our man happened to be the first man and he got his head to it.

Nobodys claiming he Gary Steven, but we should be bloody well trying to find him instead of putting up with feeble Hibbo.

He doesnt even have a long throw, some sort of weapon. Holt should of buried us with that header and Hibbert was nowhere to be seen. Flapping about like a flapper.

I watched an old game from maybe 05 the other day, and the only person, actually the worst player in the team IS STILL IN THE BLOODY SQUAD!!

Its remarkable he's managed to get so far.

We all know he's only there for the day he scores and all Evertonians ascend to heaven while Kopites languish on this ghastly earth.

God wants it. Believe.

I wanted him to score so bad because I want to know what the goal celebration would look like.

a) stand there in shock wondering what just happened
b) peel away arms raised and jump into the stands
c) be buried in a dogpile of teammates, including Tim Howard who would vacate his post
d) Gatorade shower

????

Super curious.
