To be fair Bruce, we've had a close season and start to this season that our Walter would call "Disappointing...."

We really missed Super Lee Carsley today

-- There was an old Toffeeweb Forum poster called Darren W who I was sure was Carsley's Mum, such was his effusive praise of the Bald Brummie Pele. Darren, I take it all back, without the 'Carsleynator'(TM) we are nought.

Good point.

Remember how Spurs started last year. As poorly as we have if I remember correctly. Once they got the ship righted, they worked their way up the table.

No reason we can't do the same.

I think if Moyes is still up for it, he can turn it around. Let's hope he is giving the squad a good old fashioned "talking" to.

They had a big squad though bill if we don,t get some quality midfielders in before tuesday we will struggle

No argument with that Daz.

We really need a creative midfielder to park in front of Castillo and behind Yak.

we now have to go to pompey and blackburn and win to avenge our two home losses. last season it was a win vs pompey and a draw vs burn (at goodison) so thats 4 points down already.

hoorah.

Have you seen whats going on at our club 16 year olds everywhere or are you kenwright in disguise

No-one's saying it's ideal. it's a bit of a poo sandwich at the moment. However it's a bit like last season when we won 13 games on the trot, some people thought we were gonna win 3 cups and finish 3rd. Now we've started badly after a summer of discontent and we're relegation candidates for some. This is not at all aimed at you Matty, Ive just picked up on what you said coz IF we'd had Joao Moutinho and Vagner Love playing today, some would be complaining that Rodwell and Baxter don't get a chance.

We'll get it together.

i recall dinamo bucharest - and the league form that followed that, us getting a win in the league in what was our fifth or sixth game which was at bolton. that incredibly poor start cost us a top ten finish.

who is actually missing now? cahill and pienaar. thats it.

I hear you but if we had the likes of mountinho and love we would won today.

I quite agree, as I'm sure all at the club realise. The point isn't what we can do about the past as apart from learning from it we can't do anything. All we can change is the future and I'm confident that we'll turn things around and push on for a UEFA place come the end of the season.
