Neves is a fantastic footballer. He would improve you no end if he played for you.He was behind two older, more experienced full internationals tbf to him. It would be like a young kid trying to displace Keane and Scholes.
Mate he started for Porto for two consecutive seasons - played over 2200 minutes in each of those seasons and was promoted to being the Captain of the team, then his current Wolves manager took over Porto and dropped him - he went on to play about 900 minutes and only started 6 games in 16/17.
Pretty sure the starting midfielders last season for Porto weren't in the same stratosphere as either Keane or Scholes, and bit of a weird choice to use Scholes as he was starting for Man United at 20/21 and in fact they started him because they let go seasoned players to make room for him.
I said players where being sent you to build back damaged reputations, Neves when he was 18 was being linked to Liverpool, Man United and being talked about being worth 40m - before the market got hugely inflated, now he ended up at Wolves for 15m (in that inflated market), that should tell you quite clearly how his stock had massively fallen.
As for being a fantastic footballer and improving us no end, how exactly would he get a game ahead of two seasoned experienced full internationals that we already have in that position?
Looking really good in the championship is brilliant, but absolutely no indication if he can cut it in the premier league, Kieran Dowell for example is doing brilliantly there in a promotion candidate team, yet he'd massively struggle right now in the premier league.
Oh and your best player isn't even owned by you but is loaned from Athletico and won't be at you next season should he continue his form.
