Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

Imagine if anyone in the media ever dared criticise SAF about his handling of Rooney. The media were begging him to leave us for the good of his career and someone that many believed could become the best player in the world ends up as a squad player. Now the media talking about loyalty to Man U. Laughable. Would love the FA to come out and comment as he hasn't looked like a world beater in an England shirt since he was a teenager at Goodison and Man U manager now saying he is happy to see the only world class player England have sitting on the subs bench the year of a world cup at an age when he should be at his best.

God knows, but I imagine he could be disruptive for our old manager, and Moyes has got his hands full without Waynealdo.

They want him to hand in a transfer request, it's that simple really.
Otherwise it's either a pay cut for Rooney or he winds down his current deal.

Rooney can,t win this one. The club will get behind Moyes and push him out as they have all the cards and a fan base behind the club.

Rooney and Moyes in the same organisation is a recipe for disaster. United are posturing about not being phased concerning keeping hold of him and the player running down his contract. They'll sell soon enough. I cant imagine Rooney taking to the field as a United player again.

I agree Dave. Rooney's card was marked by Ferguson at the end of last season when he made public their latest spat & said he'd asked to leave. IMO he could see Rooney's star beginning to fade, as the years of poor diet, ale & fags, started to take their toll on his physical prowess. They've had the best years of his career, now is the time for them to get their cash back & move on an expensive, petulant player, who'll be ****ed by the time he hits 30. Moyes arrival merely sealed the deal imo.

Seems like it, however, by dis'n him in the media they'll be driving his effective price down enough to make his loyalty bonus seem peanuts :)

going to get some cash on Chelsea for the title and Rooney top premier scorer before the odds plummet
