It's a process mate. No it wasn't perfect or even good enough but it was three points and there were some encouraging things especially in the second half.

The back line is so much better and Pickford is much happier for it.

One of the rare occasions we've seen out a game at one nil and I wasnt fearing we could concede at any moment.

I thought we were reasonably comfortable, although obviously would have liked the second goal.

4 points from them games after a long lay off Is good. The quick turnaround to today didn't help. But Carlo showed his worth changing it at H time and gettin control of the game. 2 games in a row we didn't look like conceding either

Get a full week’s rest before the Leicester game now and we will likely have a couple of extra bodies in Mina and Delph in the squad while Leicester are back in action on Sunday in the Cup against Chelsea

CA has now got them drilled defensively and is defo getting a tune out of the likes of Keane. It's worrying that we could have probably still been playing now and we wouldnt have scored from open play. There doesnt seem to be any ideas going forward and the midfield is so poor. They are bottom of the table so you would expect, if our players are as good as some people think, that we could dominate and create chances. Gomes, Bernard, Davies, Sig, are just not good enough. Too slow. I think this system suits us defensively, but we don't have any wide players for a 4-4-2 and it shows. A goal from a corner and a clean sheet I'll take all day but it's OK to expect more against a team bottom of the league.

That was, yet again, absolutely dreadful. We’re a million miles away from the RS, City, Chelsea, Man Utd, even Wolves.

You can all delude yourselves and think that Carlo will win us the league in two years or whatever but it’s not happening. We need to spend a load of cash and he needs to stop persisting with the archaic 442.
