Non-Everton English clubs that don't annoy you

I liked the Hammers in the late 70's early 80's - Parkes, Brooking, Lampard, Bonds, Devonshire, et al.

Only downside, they knocked us out of the cup in the 1980 semi-final 😪

Arsenal. As a kid I loved the quirky white sleeves and Liam Brady was a great player.

What sealed it 100% was that ‘89 game, the 0-2 at the pit. I’ve posted before but I was there, had a mate who was a big Arsenal fan and he got tickets. My only time I’ve ever been to our old ground.

Seen them a few times at our place, destroyed one game when Rocastle ran riot, saw us beat them with the Mark Ward screamer.

Then Wenger teams , just loved the midfield of Viera and Petit.

I was also at the two home games you mention, the David Rocastle game was january 89,the season they won the title and the Ward game was our first home game of the 91/92 season when we beat them 3-1.

Have soft spots for Wolves (apart from when they're doing better than us). Also follow Salford kmy home town). But no clubs annoy me outside if the neauveau rich and the rs obviously.

Hate the faff around the Premier League and the 'big club' stuff.
The lower League clubs, and most importantly it's fans, are the true lifeblood of football in this country so I think they're all great outside the top flight.
They still get to enjoy real football that's not been ruined by ad men and sacks of cash.
Best of luck to them all
The only thing Id say about that is that it's the lower league clubs in leagues 1&2 that are still organising 'meet ups' between fans pre game for massive scraps all the time. It's these same fans that make up the large bulk of the England fanbase who then go abroad and cause loads of trouble. Loads of them are just a bunch of coked up melts down the leagues tbh.

I'll always have a soft spot for Arsenal because of 1989. Never knew seeing grown men cry could be such a joy.

They still annoy me though, with their stupid overpriced and soulless stadium, their self-righteous belief that their team is the last of the Corinthians, when they've had some right snides and cloggers over the years, and the shitweasels on Arsenal TV.

Mind you, even Everton annoy the bejeezus out of me.

My old fella had a session ticket there for years so I went quite a few times in the Northern and National leagues.

Really enjoyable football. And was great to see the players having a chat with fans before and after games.

Can't believe ex-blue Touray is still there, send to have been around forever
