Just read on SSN that Moyes won't be considering taking Manny permanently because of the third party agreement, but are considering another loan move.

Also Valente signed a one year contract extension...

Cheers mate.

Can see why, didn't Valencia only purchase half of him or something?

We would have to make a deal with Valencia and the third party....

Yeah i assumed that's what went wrong last summer, although i thought that had been sorted out, obviously not.

Benfica wanted 6 million for manny for their half, valencia payed 12 million, so everyone thought they had bought both out and completely owned many. I thoguth they did too...so whats going on??

the spanish league dont care about third party agreements so Valencia were able to pay Benfica 12million and ignore the third party deal. meening Valencia payed 12million for 50%. how were we supposed to compete?

He needs to get rid of that agent 3rd party [Poor language removed], its ruining or could ruin his football career. Unless they all lower their prices or someone with cash like Manure want him, he's going to very unsettled bouncing from clubs.

Personally, I think FIFA needs to outlaw third party ownership across the board.

No good comes from it.

I'm starting to get a bit nervous about losing Manny. It's like we've had a classy midfielder for nearly a year and a half, and now he's gonna bugger off on a Bosman. I can't see Valencia loaning him for a second time, and can't see why they would sell someone with his potential for the amount that we'll be able to pay. I think we'll lose him (n)

Question : why would Moyes go out of his way to capture on loan a player who we never had a prayer of buying ?

Well... I think that if Moyes got the option of getting a player like Terry, Lampard, Ronaldo on loan for one season, he'd do so even though he knew that it would only be for a year... it's like signing an older player on a single year contract.

A curious thought went through my head, do third parties pay the player a wage on top of what the club pays them? Or do they make the player sign a contract when he is young with perhaps a large lump sum to them and their family.

It certainly seems that players under third party ownership dont complain about it, so they must get something out of it? i remember Tevez for example being very omplimntory about his owners.

Perhaps the players are not the victims we all think they are.

"We're going to assess his situation in the next week or so. I have got a few ideas which I'm thinking about"

I don't think that he's saying we're going for a loan, I think we'll try and get him signed up with some hard bargaining if we can, although that mayn't be very successful

I dont think its fair on Manny to come on loan again,as he has nothing to gain as no matter how well he plays with the third party we are never going to sign him and if he plays [Poor language removed] other clubs will lose interest in buying him that said I would love to have him back

i guess we will all have to wait and see...personally i think we should buy..he is class..provided we can get through he third ownership BS
a third loan spell would be great..but surprising..surely he will want to settle down at a club on a permanent basis
but moyes seems to like him alot..so fingers crossed
