I was coming aroud to the idea of him signing. Exept for last year, iv always liked him as a player. Yes he was awful at the geordies, but moyes would get the best out of him again.

Apparently Villa are interested in Smith and are going to bid £4m, on the basis that there is a new Premier league rule that Villa must bid for any available English player.
