Our youngsters are our future, they are not going anywhere....

Expect them to be more productive next season & play an important part in Our destiny...
Completely agree, I'd love to see him playing in the first team next year, he's one of the best talents we have, just a shame he's been allowed to go to Germany

I thought he looked ready in early season when he was being played, certainly no worse than any of the other players.

That said and reading above, if he is going to be used more next season, have more youngsters been put out of harms way this season? Would love to see more of benni, lookman, vlasic and Henry in blue next season.

They haven't now no. But they are only 19! Ronaldo wasn't Ronaldo at 19, he was a half decent step over pony of a winger who got game time and allowed to improve. The Everton way seems to be to drop ours out the team and then wonder why they never improved.

In terms of del and Ross, they didn't suffer from lack of defensive coaching (which considering it was Martinez.. ..) it was a lack of coaching altogether. They were sent out by him to play without any development behind the scenes and therefore never improved beyond the young talent phase . I'm not saying wingers should never defend, I'm saying they shouldn't be dropped simply for not tracking back enough when they want to be running towards the goal.

And yes the players I mentioned get 20 plus goals a season. How many did they get at 19? I don't get this mind set at this club! Other teams sign exciting young players and actually play them, nurture them sure but they play them at least and give them time to get experience and improve. For as long as I can remember it seems the Everton mind set is that they aren't good enough and soon after Shipped out. People cawing over the Watford lad who is 21 yet happy to see 19 year old lookman and vlasic out the team and therefore not developing.

Everyone was questioning Alex Ferguson when in that transfer window he had the opportunity to sign Ronaldinho, but instead spunked his money on a younger Ronaldo. What, ..... Ronaldinho is the best player in the world. How we laughed, well I did :(

A difference is Ferguson's strangling success allowed him the time to let that raw talent show through. I'm not disputing that these can't become great players, but unfortunately our bosses are now throwing Shoite at a wall hoping some sticks.
But we have too many managers too soon, and to be honest, very different ideas are not going to help these young lads achieve their goals.

I still remember tricky trev coming through and buzzing at how good he was, as sheeds sorta just grew into the talent that was sheedy :celebrate:

Your right special players make football and we all love em, arteta in his first couple of seasons, pienaar.... some of the best lads in recent years by any accounts

.... just noticed Croatia are in the same World Cup group as RFM's Argentina and Gylfi's Iceland.

Hopefully Vlasic get's some game time for Croatia. Would be interesting to see if he or Gylfi stands out in the Croatia v Iceland match.

It’s a bit easier to bring through luxury players like Ronaldo or Sanchez when you are managing a team that is winning. Not so easy when the team is struggling for 3 points every week.

No way. Rigth now only way that he will play for national team is possibility that Modric goes to jail.

Just sad to see such a promising player rot in the club, and with each game it becomes more obvious he will leave the club and have a good career somewhere else. If he had played bad i'd understand, but he was alright, some games he looked as the best player on pitch. Now, you got Bolasie and Calvert-Lewin wasting the air on the pitch while this lad can't even get a shot.

Bizarre the situation with this lad. The one (?) game he actually plays under Allardyce he is singled out for praise, then he's never seen again. No word of any injury, yet he doesn't make the squad and isn't even playing in the U23s. He's a good player, he should be around the first team without a doubt.
