He really looked decent. Nobody in the entire squad has played well consistently, or for an entire match, or a run of matches, so why Vlasic, Lookman, Klassen and Sandro were singled out is a mystery

He doesn't deserve a place when we have players who track back and protect the fullbacks like Bolasie does, or put the effort in like Schneiderlin and Williams. He'd get found out defensively switching off at key moments so we need to play experienced players like Martina.

If we played younger inexperienced players like Vlasic, we'd end up losing to sides like Watford and Burnley and conceding 4 to Southampton and Spurs so it's too much of a risk

Would offer more attacking threat , even off the bench.
But all season I don't think anyone really knew what our best line-up is/was. Smacks of a lack of nous , awareness and managerial ability

Exactly. In a season of absolute dross, lack of effort and/or heart and complete and utter incompetence, why are we NOT playing the one player brought in this summer who looked prtty good?

Seems like the stray pass which led to Arsenal's fifth at Goodison was basically the end for him.

I suppose that's what happens when you're competing with such accomplished talent as Morgan Schneiderlin and Yannick Bolasie.

It wasn't just Allardyce though, Unsworth didn't fancy him either. I genuinely think it's this mentality from a lot of managers where they think that all players need to show a hard working mentality. I could go along with it if there wasn't such a lack of hard work from several players that have been given a significant number of chances this season.

No prem experience so in Allardyce’s warped view of what is needed to stay up it’s better to play a complete liability like Bolasie than one of these players based on nothing but minutes played in the prem.

If it had been any other 2 managers I think it would mean more.
But Unsworth - God love him - with his "I like crosses and effort" football and Allardyce with his "get the ball to Rooney / Walcott and pray" methodology, I think all the players ousted need another chance.
