It is clear that in the longer term it isn't David Unsworth Vlasic has to worry about impressing, although I do believe that Unsworth could very easily be appointed assistant manager when our man arrives.

Vlasic is only in this league a wet week and has certainly shown there is potential that can be developed. He needs to shut up, work hard and settle into the club, his chance will come.

In some ways it is a bit like when Besic first arrived, went straight into the team and although he seemed to do well the results were poor. After a number of games he faded from the team. In his case I think the almost continuous injury problem has finished his career here.

Vlasic was definitely one of our better players in the matches he did play in. Pace and willingness to beat defenders, and a very heavy work ethic, and not a bad touch. I do think that Unsworth doesnt like him for the sole reason that unsworth loves to see the young players get a chance, and he views Vlasic as an outsider young player taking away "his guys" opportunities.

Otherwise, I think a front 4 of DCL or Niasse, with Vlasic and Lookman on the wings and Siggy in behind would be a huge improvement. The pace of the two wingers would really free up space for Siggurdson.
