Confirmed Signing Nikola Vlasic

Not being funny lads but Steve Walsh has definitely at least checked out his youtube highlights reels as well as watching him in the 2 games we've played against Split. We're well informed on this purchase.

All the people moaning they didn't even notice him playing against us... how many of you noticed Gana playing for Lille against us a few years back?

I'm not sure people are moaning mate, I mean , I noticed a lad playing wide against us who looked pretty good, who I now assume was Vlasic, but if you'd asked me an hour after either of the games what his name was then I wouldn't have had a clue.

My memory is bloody awful though.

first time i've seen clips from the game. looks like he was very good against us.

reminds me of '07 when we were in UEFA, I remember us coming back from our games vs Zenit and it didn't take long for the rumors start to swirl that we were in for Arshavin. i think that January it was us and Newcastle in for him, we knew about him a bit before EVERYONE else did. His star continued to rise as he had a great season then a great Euros, then a year later Arsenal got him.

Not saying Vlasic is going to be Arshavin, but I LOVE the idea of us using the europa league as up close scouting too.

I see some similarities with Vlasic and Hassler...same build, running and passing style.
