..there is a multitude of ways to identify a talent, one of which is when you play against an individual. Walsh and Koeman might have been suitably impressed but some of our players could well have commented that the lad was a very good player.

Dare I say it but his style reminds me a bit of Modric. Looks a player and for £8m it's a yes from me. More one for the future, but with our injuries at the moment he'd be straight into the squad and I'd have him on the bench for the United game. Could have done with a player like him at the weekend. Somebody with the pace and ability to run with the ball.
