What I've seen Eggs, he could probably do both equally well I think. It wasn't his position that reminded me of Modric, more his style. Quick, slight, quick feet, good balance, two footed, and seems to play with his head up. Has ability to move quickly with the ball at his feet and glide past players. In that respect I can see why you liken him to Barkley.

Obviously the Croatian league is very poor, but all the same a lot of very talented footballers come out of that league. Think he could be one of them. He also looked quite dangerous against us in both legs.
