Doesn't look like he has blistering pace which we miss, but seems a clever player, can play deeper and make chances.

Croatia are a very decent team, when you consider the figures young English internationals go for this lad could be a snip.

...I dare not think what we'd already get for DCL with stories that Arsenal are interested. I think I can say with confidence he'll be a Premier League player. He's not that big a price to be in England's World Cup squad next summer.

DCL would fetch 25-30m easily right now mate.

Remember Ibe went for 15m last season.

As a centre forward he has obvious promise and potential, as a winger he looks God awful.

Few people I know have made comparisons with a young Sharp the way he plays, turns into half the player I'd be happy.

Lad needs to score a winner in a big game for us to drive his confidence through the roof though.

...yep, I've compared him to Sharp since I first saw him for the U23s when he arrived. That comparison is based on his back to goal technique, although Sharp was as a good a target man as you'll see.

I agree about the 'big goal', although I call it a 'wow' moment. He's getting into situations but not yet fully exploiting them.

Understandably lost in the midst of how badly the team played, but I thought this lad showed plenty of positives. Tenacious in possession, change of pace and generally looking to impact upon the game, which is more than can be said for a few out there tonight. I'm sure we'll drum it out of him soon enough but I was encouraged.

Genuinely think he's one of our best players right now. That says a lot more about the disaster that is our current squad than it does about him.

Impressive tonight - showed pace skill and strength too when he held off that player in the corner before m the cross for Calvert lewin. Confident finish too. At 19 some real potential there for us, shrewd signing I think

Did well when he came on slotted his goal nicely should start on Sunday but probably won't koeman will revert back to playing his tried and test but unsuccessful formation
