My initial feelings about this transfer were negative (too high price for a player, who can easily not deliver), and my Scottish friend just made my feelings stronger.

"Big mistake by Everton. About half his goals have been penalties, and Rangers get a lot of penalties from their referee friends.

What makes it even sillier is that Rangers will end up bankrupt in a few weeks when they lose their Â£49million tax case, so if Everton had waited till the summer they could have got him for nothing.

The Rangers wont end up bankrupt and Craig Whyte has issued a statement on the official website, can't post the link though.

My mates a Celtic fan and he's made up that Jelavic is leaving Rangers - he seems to think that we've got a very good striker on our hands with this one.
