One was a youngster other is a journeyman with a less than ordinary goalscoring record. I just think of guys like Miller and Boyd who had better scoring records and did naff all down here and worry this guy will be the same.

Yeah but with Miller and Boyd you can't make up words like HAVE A POPAVIC or WHIP IT INAVIC like you can with Jelavic. Just looking for the positives.

Rangers forward Nikica Jelavic is reportedly ‘desperate’ to force through a move to Everton before the January transfer window shuts on Tuesday, according to the Daily Record.

The paper also reveals that Everton boss David Moyes has made an offer for the wantaway Croatian forward, believed to be worth £4.5 million - a figure that falls well short of £7 million West Ham offered last week.

The Record quotes an insider at Rangers as saying: “Nikica is very close to his agent and he has made it clear to him that Everton is the move he wants.

“Rangers could be left with a very unhappy player on their hands unless (Rangers owner) Craig Whyte is prepared to do a deal.â€￾

This is where Moyes went bananas over Barry Ferguson. Kept on trying to persuade the board to up the ante and shell out more to get his target. One of the few times Kenwright could be backed up in his decision making that one.* If Everton get sucked in by this brinkmanship nonsense they need fcuking.
