He was good going forward but very inexperienced and very prone to errors in defence. I'd like to see him play again to see if he has improved.

NN was given very little opportunity to show what he could do in all honesty. In those few outings he had I don't think he did badly at all and think his defensive frailties are grossly exaggerated.

Think young Niels could be very dangerous playing in a wing back role. His crossing and pace are boss, if memory serves. It was against lower league opposition but he put a number of dangerous balls in. Say we play 3-4-2-1 with two #10s playing more narrow, and had Niels and Patterson flying down the wings. Could be an exciting watch that.
