Shanahan is crazy because a lot of people myself included think highly of him and the success of his offenses really speaks for itself while at the same time he's not really won many games.
The injuries Shanahan has had to deal with the last few years is insane. He was a quarter from the super bowl last year with Jimmy Garoppolo

He’s putting all his eggs in the Trey Lance basket this season. He is very young and could come good, but he didn’t look like an NFL QB at Chicago on Sunday

i dont think its fair to judge him considering the weather conditions on Sunday, though what the gave up for him was insane.
the way they use him he'll never last the season either, he took some serious punishment on sunday.

Yes the weather was bad, but he looked like a high school QB throwing the ball downfield. Shanahan will no doubt find a way to make him effective (running him, moving the pocket, scheming for high % completions) but at some point to be successful in the NFL you have to be able to make good throws in tight windows to beat good teams.

Otherwise your ceiling is Lamar Jackson, who puts up great looking numbers against bad teams. But against good defenses can't get it done

i dont disagree, they had plenty of designed runs for him too and he took several hefty hits doing it so its not sustainable.

think you're being harsh on jackson though.
