Emery though. I sit here one leg cocked up on the couch overlooking my pretend valleys and ponder the thought of having a quality manager.

Would be superb wouldn't it. We've had mediocrity for far too long and had to accept it.

A top manager not only changes a lot on the playing field, it changes the mentality off it as well and would certainly have the majority of us buzzing
I like this, positive but sensible.
I just want a manager who we can respect, who won't take chit off the superstars, who will give us belief.

So, I have an update from this afternoon's meeting...

but give the reaction to my previous posts, it seems only right for @The Esk to update.

RdB said his brother FdB is not contacted by our club, I don’t think our club interest in FdB since he is the first manager who keen on the vacancy.
Frank de Bour: Mr Moshiri it's Frank de Bour here, can you you hear me?
Mr Moshiri: YES, I CAN HEAR YOU, FRANK DE BOUR

As nobody else wants to give an update and I suppose it's left to me (seems like all the other ITK's have gone quiet!)

Meeting with Emery reps took place today.

Very productive meeting and Emery clearly wants to be a manager in the Premier League and our 'project interests him greatly'.

Buy out clause and salary are not an issue.

BUT Real Madrid are......

Essentially if we want Emery, we need Real to win on Sat.

Then this deal has a real chance of happening, if not we have our work cut out as he has a very good chance of replacing Zidane.

Depending on Saturday's outcome, Emery will be in London for further discussions and hopefully confirmed as EFC manager at some point next week.

I'm not trying to make friends or enemies, just passing on well sourced information.

At this moment, De Boer is not an option.

exactly mate. even if we were loaded beyond compare, I still wouldn't expect titles or trophies. All I've ever wanted is desire to play for Everton and effort. Mix desire and effort together and you get skill and freedom to play as you wish. The team of 84-85 had it as you can see on videos. Certain players have had it, the minimum requirement is 100% when you wear the shirt. That's all we ask. That's all we've ever asked. We want trophies and success but we don't expect them.

Maybe it would be nice to be like that again where the bare minimum is to expect trophies. I know one thing, we've got superb fans imo who have out up with a lot of chap and false promises for far too many years. Be nice if it's our turn to shine for a change mate;)
