I think the reason we have. Not heard a sound from the board is, they have waited until the Spanish season is over and have had emery in the frame all along, I think they will speak to him on wed and we should have some kind of announcement on Friday.

With the Jose circus taking the headlines over next couple of days we will get on with what we have to do.

Me personally would like the Dortmund manager, although this emery guy is a close 2nd

Did you see how naive he was against the R's at Anfield, no chance

I can see why. Better the devil you know after the last two season.

Personally I think it would be nothing more than mid table mediocrity and lowered expectation under him once more. No thanks.

This is the bit I don't understand.

We averaged 6th place and 60 points under Moyes in his last 7 years with basically no financial backing yet people say he lowered expectation and only finished midtable. Only Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal finished in the top 7 more than us in that time.

I'm not saying I want Moyes back but to make out he was some terrible manager who had us bobbing along in 12th is just plain wrong.

People are making out that Koeman would be a massive step up when he got a similarly financed team to a similar position in the league.

No chance of us getting the Dortmund manager, I'd like him though

Which is the reason I don't want Koeman either.
