….yep, he’s the one I thought of 🙌

Arteta
Catterick
Kendall
Mercer
Potts
Saunders

An elite group, maybe one or two more.
I went through all the teams/managers I could think of and skipped past him as I honestly did not know he was a former blue. Looked him up and found something else I didn't know - he was from Birkenhead. Every days a school day.

….yep, Birkenhead lad with a decent scouse accent. He’d have been right at home in that Villa dressing with the likes of Peter Withe, Denis Mortimer, Kenny Swain & Tony Morley from the area.

No that's the lot. I went through every top flight winning manager.

Btw, in reading about Theo Kelly he really was a right p.i.t.a.

Responsible for Mercer Lawton and Dean leaving the club. Tried to sell TG Jones to Italy solely to make profit, but prevented by foreign exchange rules.

He brought Mercer's boots to the transfer negotiations so he wouldn't have a reason to go back to GP and bid farewell to his teammates.

His legacy is the Rupert's Tower on the badge and the League win of 38/9. Otherwise, a very nasty piece of stuff it seems. He never played for the club, so doesn't qualify for this list.

Graeme Sharp I see has decided to jump back into bed with the club after insisting for ages he'd washed his hands of us. More puff pieces in the Echo about ending his "exile" and the hopes for the future. The absolute brass neck.

Liar. Bootlicker. Salary thief. Selfish, arrogant n**head. And that's just that Beesley fella writing the article. Sharp on the other hand to this day refuses to hear any criticism of a board that came within a pube of running the club into liquidation. Laughable how he's now decided to walk back into the house as if he's letting bygones be bygones. It's clearly an indicator of how little the Friedkins are involved in the day to day running, otherwise these old Kenwright lapdogs wouldn't be getting jobs. It's sickening that Prentice is still on the payroll even now.
