I’ve always wanted our former players to do well, especially those who had injuries.
Perhaps make an exception for those who were idiots when leaving but even then, we can all make fools of ourselves at times.
I can't help but feel we'd have been better off loaning Chermiti out for a year instead of selling him. Especially given the money Beto and Barry have cost us. I know who I'd rather bring off the bench, that's for sure.
There's obviously exceptions as you say, but if I've enjoyed watching a player at Everton, I'll generally still want them to do well or at least be indifferent to their success post Everton. If it's a young lad who didn't quite work out like Chermiti then I'm pretty happy to see them have a career
