Was the opposite of DCL, his sleeping game was not very good but in the box his finishing was excellent . This is what “ natural goal scorer “ means . Players have it or they don’t . He had it but couldn’t get the rest of his game up to the required level, ironically the hardest part of his job , finishing was what he found the easiest and the stuff that’s meant to be coach able and relatively easy to learn in comparison was the stuff he couldn’t do, a bit like Barkley in that regard. Barkley could do things that most footballers can’t learn like shooting with both feet from 25 yards , dribbling at pace etc but couldn’t decide or choose options correctly or fast enough

Shame about both of there careers here, Barkley did have some good moments, but having to much time to think was his problem, that’s where he struggled, but what came naturally he was excellent at. I think Beckford was stereo typed as a lower league player, which he did show he he was better than that, he had some good moments and with more time he could have improved, but you don’t get much time to improve yourself in the Premier league, unless your names DCL and he still can’t improve with all that time.
If you read it you will notice that I said he was the opposite of DCL. His finishing was good but his all round game wasn’t. This means I actually think DCL all round game is good. So how is that having a pop?
