"Yes but" he complains in that article. Lukaku was never elite, that was why there was always a "but". A very good striker, a second tier striker, hence there is a reason he has been bombed out of top sides where he couldn't cut the mustard. And in big games, my word has there been a worse performer? Huge misses galore; the only goal I can recall him scoring in a big game was against his own side when he scored the winner for Sevilla in the Europa final.“Even at Everton, when I said I didn’t want to sign a new contract, it was a problem. ‘Why should I leave?’, they said. Why should I miss the chance to play in the Champions League somewhere else? I had two clubs to go to that summer and I chose one because I wanted to play in the Champions League and win trophies. What’s the problem with wanting to win trophies? If someone else is doing it, there’s no problem.”
Good to know that while he was under contract with us he had his eye on a move somewhere else, great commitment Rom.
What's he up to nowadays ?
Stoke aside, he's had a really promising start to his managerial career. Matter of time before he's linked?Great 3-1 win for Schumacher’s Bolton against leaders Birmingham. 13 points out of 15 for him
Schumacher’s got Bolton set up well and buzzing at the right time to make the play offs, they’re strong defensively and are scoring goals.Great 3-1 win for Schumacher’s Bolton against leaders Birmingham. 13 points out of 15 for him
Yeah maybe. Stoke is a bit of a graveyard for managers, especially inexperienced ones. I remember when he was sacked I saw some tweets from some Stoke fans saying it was harsh. Not sure what the wider Stoke fanbase thought of him.Stoke aside, he's had a really promising start to his managerial career. Matter of time before he's linked?

Moyes is only on a two and a half year deal and the idea to bring him back was as much to get us moving up the table in that time rather than a long term fix, so in a couple of years he could get the nod. His move to Stoke might have seemed like a step up for him but it didn`t work out. I hope he stays at Bolton for the next couple of seasons and can get them to the playoff picture in the championship, and if the call comes he could take over here when Moyes moves aside.Stoke aside, he's had a really promising start to his managerial career.
