...went for Gueye because he’s been terrific the last few games. I have to give a mention for Holgate who has been outstanding despite my reservation about him playing centrally in a flat back four.

We rode our luck and perhaps this is still ‘bounce’ but these points were much needed. Folk know my minimum Christmas benchmark is 20 points and we’ve achieved that now so i’m very happy with the turnaround. ‘Boing, Boing Toffees’, keep the bounce going.

Went for JJK, but Holgate and Williams pretty sound too. Gana good in second half; some promising link up play just need it to click. Siggy improving, thought Vlasic did okay when he came on.

My man Ashley.

Man's on form
That's the nicest thing anyone has said about him in years.

(only joking Human, it was just a good excuse to post that pic of the Blert) :p)

ideal set up that for Mondays game mate. Not sure Sam think the same though

..I think he does. Everything he says suggests he wants us to be better with the football, everything he says suggests he wants us to create more. After last night, I think Vlasic might be on the verge of a start. Somebody mentioned Bolasie ‘gets us up the other end of the pitch’ but I think Vlasic also has that capability and it’s what Allardyce is looking for.

Hope so. very impressed with Vlasic last night and I think Sam can add the defensive discipline he will need to stay in the team. Our best approach is to mix it up so to have players on the pitch that can stretch the age is ideal. DCL been great and will get better but hope we get quality CF in Jan to take the pressure off and gives us bit more quality

Why is Williams such better all of a sudden?
Is it because he's got Holgate next to him, young and quick so he has confidence to marshall the defence?
Was he intimidated by the experience of Jag or the price tag of Keane?
Or did he really hate Koeman that much?
He has pace next to him watch as he plays higher up the pitch now going in for tackles knowing Holgate is there to use his pace to tidy up!

I get the impression from the media reports that Newcastle were unlucky, and should have won the game, can anyone tell me if this rings true.
