The only thing we have to worry about today is that in the past few games against Chelsea, Sunderland and Man Utd, Newcastle have played on the counter attack and have created a good amount of chances. So if we play with our usual slow tempo we are playing right in to their hands.

We are good enough to go out there and blow Newcastle away early and then control the game rather than trying to control from the off. Hopefully Martinez has it spot on today because he really should know exactly what a very limited Alan Pardew is going to do. Also the less space space we leave for Ayoze Perez the better, that lad is quick and has good feet.

If rumours are correct that Stones and Mirallas haven't travelled then those who wanted wholesale changes will definitely get them today....no Howard, Jagielka, Stones, Naismith or Mirallas.....that's 5 regular first choice starters.

Can see Garbutt and Oviedo plus McGeady starting today.

Interesting times.....got a feeling we'll win against the odds and McGeady will be the instigator.

Got an absolute feeling of dread . One things for certain we will play the usual 4231 with the crab passing tactics.

I admire your optimism but I think the only thing McGeady's the instigator of is getting pissed on a Saturday night at the Bierkeller. He's certainly not the instigator of what his own feet choose to do.
