It's pretty accurate though isn't it. The Premier League "Fit and Fair" stuff can be mumbled about and ignored by the powers that be but the whole BeOutQ is a massive ball-ache that would infuriate the companies who are the main revenue stream for the PL. But knock them back over that and Saudi Arabia are straight onto the British Government and asking why a major trading partner is being treated like this.


Shuffle papers and hope the Saudis go away is likely their preferred approach.

Essentially yes. Delay it, insult them in the process and make it clear that even if they invest they will make it impossible for them to be successful. That assumes the Saudi's are really interested though, which is now highly doubtful.

The Qataris fear that a takeover of a tinpot football club in the north of England could swing the balance of power in the Saudi’s favour. All to play for here in the Middle East Cup, we’re on the edge of our seats.

Yes I mean Qatar and Saudi are broadly on the same side in the geo-political struggle. So I suppose it's about as truthful as the idea Newcastle are being bought out by the main body of Saudi who intend to pump money in.
