Probably losing billions in revenue due to the Israeli-American war with Iran and the retaliation strikes on Saudi Arabia and restrictions on getting oil out and a sizeable loss of investment portfolio value because whose wanting to invest/ move into the middle east right now whilst everything is so risky.

Buying a preening PL level footballer probably isn't number 1 priority right now.

I would expect that everything would have been preplanned well in advance and funds in place already.

Seems strange theyve not improved the stadium or the training ground which was why we were told the Reuben brothers were part of the shareholder group.

Its all very odd to me.

Just googled Newcastle takeover and it's been over 4 years since they took over and you're right, that's more than enough time to see some progress with stadium and training ground. Very odd as you say.

The Saudis could chuck $1bil at them and not blink an eye. They've chosen not to invest in their infrastructure which makes it pointless.

With PIF selling clubs and LIV at risk (despite the reassurance), makes you wonder what the plan will be for Newcastle, especially given how PSR etc has been with them, whilst Chelsea can do as they please.

I reckon theyd look outside PL and target commercialising and monopoling a league line Qatari's did with PSG.

They've pulled plug on Al-Hilal, LIV is coming, boxing gigs going elsewhere, just feels like itd be a dodgy time to be Newcastle.
